The course explains the requirements of the safety standard and regulations for information technology and audio-visual equipment and gives delegates an understanding of how to manage product safety - from initial idea to finished product.

Attendees will gain insight into the principles of safety, with a view to legal compliance in Europe and around the world, including how to identify and protect against hazards. Additionally, delegates will learn about technical documentation, submitting products for testing, and understand the level of acceptable evidence required to show compliance.
This course is recommended for product buyers, project managers, component purchasing, design and compliance managers, and anyone working in production management or third party sourcing of electronic and electrical products.
No prior technical knowledge of electronics is required before attending this course.
This course also forms the first day of the two-day course for more in-depth technical knowledge of IEC 62368-1, intended for engineers - "Total Safety Compliance for IEC 62368-1".
