Suppliers and manufacturers of industrial machinery have a legal responsibility to ensure the safety of their product, irrespective of whether it is only used in-house or placed onto the market.
To give you confidence that your machinery is safe, we are running a series of half day Workshops where you will gain an understanding of the actions you must take to be legally compliant, an understanding of the individual regulations and how to comply with them.
The workshops will cover placing equipment on the market, not only in the EU through CE marking but also in the UK after BREXIT. To optimise market access, it is important to ensure products meet all national and international regulatory and technical requirements.
The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) is applied by end users to ensure that both old and new equipment can be used safely, this also includes equipment used by manufacturers to produce a finished component or product. PUWER is a continual process as machines should be constantly reviewed and where identified, upgraded.
There are dangerous overlapping areas between PUWER and what would be classed as “new machinery” after significant changes have been made.
Join us at one of our workshops to see that Machinery Safety doesn’t need to be complicated!
